Professor Idham Mohammed Hanash
Professor Idham Mohammed Hanash was born in Iraq in (1961). He was awarded a Master's degree in 1997, and a PhD in 1999 from the Institute of History and Scientific Arabic Heritage of Higher Studies, affiliated to the Arab League . He is currently an instructor in Islamic arts, and head of the Academic Department of the College of Islamic Arts and Architecture at the International Islamic Sciences University in Jordan . He is interested in Arabic calligraphy and its artistic and critical issues. He has authored more than 10 books and many studies in this field. The most prominent books are: Arabic Calligraphy and the Problem of Criticism (1990), Arabic Calligraphy in the Othman Documents (1997), and Arabic Calligraphy and the Problem of the Artistic Terminology (2007). He was awarded the creativity prize for 1999 by the Ministry of Culture in Iraq. He has also participated in many symposiums and forums.
